Description
A hole-mill is usually an undersized reamer with an uneventful geometry during which the dimensions of the hole-mill is 0.2-0.6mm larger than the dimensions of the drill to prevent drill marks on the hole and to correct the hole axis for subsequent reaming operations. Because drilled holes taper, this is commonly used for axis correction before reaming. Solid carbide hole mills produce accurate hole shapes for reaming.
